Quarantine Swampwalk social distance day 199

A little warm, left a bit later than usual and had to chew on a touch more humidity and heat than I was expecting (in a swamp, silly Scotto. )

Critter tally – saw a blue heron (I think?) Waayyyy up in the sky, but that neck and leg length is pretty telling. Five squirrels, two turkey vultures, a cardinal. No sign of eagles or osprey this morning. A new giant fluffy sheep dog mutt was being walked, as well as one of those gunmetal gray dogs that used to be on sesame street with human hands, like the swedish chef. Weimaraner, maybe?

Whenever I see those dogs now, it is disturbing to see dog feet on them. Not as upset that they weren’t wearing long sleeved shirts.

3d printer is coming along fairly well. 4 prints so far, 3 have gone fairly well, one configuration cube went a little off base and had to be stopped. Puppy was clean but showed I could tweak things a bit. The configuration cube helped more, and the lion printed quickly and with no discernable errors. I have heard that using black pla is more difficult? I have a couple of other spools, some very fun colors like silver, rainbow and bronze. I think benchy will be my first rainbow print. I want to do some drawers and clips for the printer next, while I have black loaded up, and maybe test some terrain like a tower or little tavern that could be sprayed with primer and painted up for model train / wargaming maybe?

I think I might do some custom figures for Allison, Amy and myself for boardgaming meeples, too.
