Photographer Alan Sailer has a knack for taking stunning photographs of items as they explode in spectacular fashion. Here you see Christmas ornaments that were first filled with sand, fake chapstick, jello, and a blend of gelatin and cornstarch before they were blown to smithereens.

Go to My Modern Metropolis to see more of Alan’s awesome photos!
