Weather is nice today, maybe 50F. Some cool wind coming from the Chesapeake bay, otherwise I suspect it would be downright balmy.

#bogsafari critter count is high, several black vultures, squirrels, and also aquatic activity in the swamp kicking up ripples.

Smokey the cat was out and about and several unseen kids were noisily playing in yards as I headed to the swamp. A few kids also on bikes riding down the road not wearing masks.

#bogsafari counts – one very chubby squirrel, a couple of large birds very high up (probably vultures), and smokey the siamese cat, all at very different locations of my walk. Not too many humans, but with the remaining snow had some footprint evidence rapidly melting away. Though we got maybe 2 inches of snow the last two days, rain and warmer weather has caused all but the faintest traces to remain highlighting branches and shady spots.

More scenes from today’s groundhog birthday. Gingerbread whistlepig cookies with chocolate chips for eyes, cake and ice cream along with my birthday pin.

Some lovely presents received today include a pair of bluetooth earbuds, groundhog day game with a funkopop groundhog. En route is a light box for photography, too!

Vouchers for future include a ps4 when available and a 3d printer when decided upon. A surprise is on the way from inlaws, supposed to arrive tomorrow.
