Pye health update

He got really droopy last night, but is much better this morning. We watched over him all night, and thankfully he is eating and drinking, I haven’t seen him use the litter box yet.

Comfortably resting in a sunbeam in the office now, seems to be a happy bear for now.

Pyewacket health

Pyewacket had a little blood in his spit this morning, we took him to the emergency vet to check him out.

Some blood work, other tests, an xray and about $600 later, he is home. No big solid tummy items in there, and no abnormal blockages. He has some meds for upset, and we are keeping our eyes on him for a few days before a follow-up at his regular doc.

He’s a little groggy and has some food restrictions, but for now, he seems ok.

Now he is snoozing comfortably in his carrier.

One line browser notepad

Sometimes I just need to type garbage. Just to clear out my mind. Using editors to type such gibberish annoys me because it clutters my project workspace (I’m picky, I know).

So I do this. Since I live in the browser, I just open a new tab and type in the url tab.

data:text/html, <html contenteditable>

Voila, browser notepad.

Why it works?

You don’t need to remember it. It’s not rocket science. We are using the Data URI’s format and telling the browser to render an html (try “javascript:alert(‘poop’);”). The content of said html is a simple html line with the html5 attribute contenteditable. This works only on modern browsers that understand this attribute. Click and type!

Ugh

Throttle position sensor on the love cube is giving us trouble, which is a bit to fix between parts and labor. I was hoping it was just water in the fuel line.

Blue book value keeps lowerinh, debating the value of repair, given that we just had a few other repairs done too. I’m thinking that unless we find a really good deal on repair elsewhere, that’s the end of our lovely element.
