An allegorical aquatint etching by Francisco Goya. The English translation of the title of this work is “If Sunrise, We Depart.” This etching was made from plate #71 of the “Los Caprichos” (The Caprices) suite of etchings that were made between 1793 and 1798. There were 80 etchings made in that suite. This print was produced in 1868. Francisco Goya (1746-1828) was a Spanish artist primarily known for his paintings. He was a major influence on French Romantic painters.
