How Londoners died one week in 1665.⁠⁠These “bills of mortality” were published weekly during the Great Plague of London and were useful in trying to track the spread of the disease. In addition to the high count attributed to “Plague”, and other expected maladies of the time, we see deaths assigned to more enigmatic causes — “Frighted”, “Suddenly”, “Winde”. and “Planet”.
