I never Knew KITT was originally a 1982 Chevy Chevette, not a Pontiac Trans Am and Danny DeVito was cast as Michael Knight instead of David Hasselhoff … what a different show that could have been (oh yeah, Christopher Lloyd was to be KITT’s voice). NBC picked up TAXI for another season and the rest is history.
