Planet of the Apes (1968)

Day 8 of 10: Ten movies that made an impact on you and remain in your rotation, in no particular order. Post the poster, no need to explain. Nominate a a person every day.

Today, I’m nominating Jason West (no pressure, but I’d love to see yours)

I’m a fan of all of them from the brilliant remakes to the awful (Burton, you boob!), even the cartoons and TV shows. My favorite science fiction series, even over Star Wars or Star Trek.

Alien

Day 7 of 10: Ten movies that made an impact on you and remain in your rotation, in no particular order. Post the poster, no need to explain. Nominate a person every day.

Today, I’m nominating Amy Rose (no pressure, but I’d love to see yours)

First rated R movie I ever saw… I was 9, I think. I just noticed the typo… was that a misprint on the poster, or a troll?

Alternate:

The Incredibles

Day 6 of 10: Ten movies that made an impact on you and remain in your rotation, in no particular order. Post the poster, no need to explain. Nominate a person every day.

Today, I’m nominating Chris Vazquez (no pressure, but I’d love to see yours)

I think this is the best Fantastic Four movie, and maybe my favorite Pixar film, too.

Ran

Day 5 of 10: Ten movies that made an impact on you and remain in your rotation, in no particular order. Post the poster, no need to explain. Nominate a person every day.

Today, I’m nominating Bill Brunot (no pressure, but I’d love to see yours)

Ran – Akira Kurosawa

Absolutely beautiful film, probably viewed few dozen times. Highly recommend.

Groundhog Day

Day 4 of 10: Ten movies that made an impact on you and remain in your rotation, in no particular order. Post the poster, no need to explain. Nominate a person every day.

Today, I’m nominating Robb Charnock (no pressure, but I’d love to see yours)

Robb and I share Feb 02 as a birthday.

Even if it wasn’t taking place on that day, I’d still like the film. A creep gets a chance to evolve, learn from his mistakes, and find love. A cursed guy finds redemption, and it’s pretty funny, too. I have probably seen this movie at least 20 times, more if you count fragments smushed together.

Also, it is Groundhog day, not Groundhog’s day.

Hot Fuzz

Day 3 of 10: Ten movies that made an impact on you and remain in your rotation, in no particular order. Post the poster, no need to explain. Nominate a person every day.

Today, I’m nominating Kevin Albury (no pressure, but I’d love to see yours)

Hot Fuzz

Best if the trilogy, I think. Yarp.
