I am vaguely remembering one of my first sets of comic books bought when I was maybe 7 years old. I had a little over a buck, and they were twenty-five cents each – a house of mystery (maybe secrets?) with a matador on the cover standing up to an onrushing bull being ridden by a skeletal matador… an issue of Lois Lane: Superman’s girlfriend (she was wearing a blue pantsuit on the cover, peering around a doorway, and an issue of Spider-Man where he fought the Scorpion ( I remember liking the art but thought the story was weak)

I should look and see if I can find the actual covers again, just for giggles.
