Bro visited mom at work, was looking sharp. Clean, short-sleeved shirt, solid mindset, has a gig telemarketing. It was good for her to see him in decent shape for a change.

I want to sleep the whole weekend away. Just float in limbo, comfortably. Talk to some good friends, relax with the Newtie-boy. Maybe toss in a loaf or two of fresh baked bread and honey.

Got a free lunch donated to us at work yesterday… Lenny’s gave the company a platter of three big ol’ subs. Italian, Turkey and Veggie. I can dig a free lunch… ECN also gave me a bag of M&Ms for dessert.

I got to talk to MP for about a minute yesterday. It was nice, but far too short.

Looks like tropical storm Arlene is going to miss South Florida. – Rainy Weekend here.

THREE TO FIVE ADDITIONAL INCHES OF RAINFALL CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS PARTS OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA… ESPECIALLY WHERE SHOWERS AND STORMS EMBEDDED IN RAINBANDS FROM ARLENE REPEATEDLY MOVE ACROSS THE SAME AREAS. EVEN ACROSS THE ATLANTIC COASTAL COUNTIES INCLUDING METRO MIAMI… FORT LAUDERDALE… AND WEST PALM BEACH… AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 3 INCHES IS LIKELY OVER THE NEXT 24 TO 36 HOURS WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS TO 5 INCHES POSSIBLE.

The only real trace of the house that was in my back yard that remains are the two cables for phone and television hanging down from the upper right. They don’t call these things steam shovels anymore, do they? I think it runs on diesel. Would it be called a Petrol-shovel now?

Nighttime Newt. Waiting on the futon for me to finish up, and clear space on my computer desk again. Sometimes he’s not so courteous, and just lays down on whatever I’m working on. Upside-down post-it note “landmines” will distract him for a bit, when that happens.

Everyone carries umbrellas to the bus stop this time of year. I guess they all wear jeans, too!
