Chaotic dreams last night, not all unpleasant, just stutter-cut. I had a little difficulty sleeping… woke up and read about three times. I got past a page, figured I was weary enough to kill the lights and try again, then repeated the process about every 2 or three hours. I don’t feel too tired now, but I skipped my morning tour, and spent it in bed mostly awake, charging my batteries for the coming day. My dream locations kept shifting … I was at my old house in Boynton, no, I’m at the Dawsey’s old Boca place, no, I’m hiding out at the FAU library. I was discussing a camping/ canoe/ hiking trip with a few “faceless dream friends” to the mountains, and figuring out how long and what we’d need for the trip. Someone mentioned night vision goggles, and I thought that it was a pretty extravagant piece of equipment to bring, considering flashlights work nicely.

Did a one-card spread this morning… got the ace of wands. From Learntarot.com – The Ace of Wands is a symbol of possibility in the area of creativity, excitement, adventure, courage and personal power. In readings, it shows that a seed of bold enthusiasm has been planted in your life although you may not yet recognize it. When the seed sprouts, it could take almost any form. It might be a creative idea, surge of optimism or need to act boldly. On the outside, it could be an offer, gift, opportunity, encounter or synchronistic event.
When you see this Ace, examine your life to see how its potent, confident energy could work for you. Be daring and brave. Sometimes you have to risk to get what you want. Look for the path that will excite you and push you beyond your limits. Seize the initiative, and let your enthusiasm take you to new heights. Wands are the suit of individual power and fulfillment. This Ace tells you that a time of passion is beginning. You will be able to assert your best for all to see.
The Ace of Wands is also the card of creativity. Under its influence, you can become a conduit for inspiration and invention. Forget tired, worn-out solutions. You have the chance to be original. Trust your own creative potential, and there will be no end to what you can achieve.
Sounds good to me! I’ll keep that in mind today.
They’re making a “Birds of Prey” show on WB… and Dina Meyer is Oracle! (She’s a jim-dandy batgirl.) I don’t know how I feel about who they have playing the huntress and black canary, though. hope it’s good, and survives. I worry that it’ll become the “huntress show”, rather than Canary/Oracle team-up.
Advertising early, it seems. Birds of Prey Premiere Date: October 9, 2002, at 9.
One narrow path surrounded by a dense forest;
On all sides, mountains lie in darkness.
The autumn leaves have already fallen.
No rain, but still the rocks are dark with moss.
Returning to my hermitage along a way known to few,
Carrying a basket of fresh mushrooms
And a jar of pure water from the temple well.

Off to work… have a good day, dear journal, and I’ll try to do the same. (Odds are in my favor)
