Just got on the bus, my first attempt at comfortable writing on the laptop from a moving vehicle. Not too bad with the spell checker turned on, so I don’t trip over silly words as I type stream of thought. Surprisingly few people on the bus for midday, I must’ve just missed the churchgoing crowd, or they’re headed in north as I travel south. I’m happy to have a seat to myself; otherwise I’d probably not be terribly comfortable typing this now. There are no particularly unusual folks riding so far, one possibly drunk, very tired or disabled man at the front bobbing his head to stay awake is about the extent of it. This will be a great test of my laptop’s battery, I think. I’ve missed seeing my sweetheart today…I hope I catch her tonight before bed. Derek actually took the initiative today, and called me up at about noon to see if I wanted to get together, take a little walk in the park and gab. I’m for that… plus, I can take him out to lunch and we can go see Shrek together, too. He’s tapped out, but we’re hitting a matinee so it won’t be too dear. (Plus, if we go to big pink, it’s industry day, so we can get half off everything. J) Well, I’m going to play some SIMs. I’ll clock out when I shut down.

Just sitting at the library, waiting for my little brother to meet me, plans for a nice day of lunch and a movie are in the works. Machine power had dropped to 63% while on the bus… not too bad, considering, but I’ve found a place to plug in for now, and recharge. I wonder if it’s a good idea to be seen in this part of town with a laptop… I suppose it’s okay, I am in a library. I should’ve brought a piece of net cable… the local hub has a few slots free, so I could surf and post from here if I had a mind to. I suppose if I was feeling industrious, I could copy to floppy, hop to one of the free net machines, copy and upload, but I’m far too lazy for that. Besides, all of the library’s boxes are in use… by the time I got to one I’d have to go little brother hunting. I think I’ll swing by the music section, and rip some CD tracks while I’m here. Maybe I’ll get lucky and there’ll be something amazing that leaps at me. Batteries back to 91%, and I’m going into hibernation mode so I can look for my sibling. Ciao, babes!
